Jeremy G. Simpson, 47 of Box Elder, died April 16, 2024 at Monument Health in Rapid City.

Jeremy Grant Simpson, born February 4, 1977, in Edmonds, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2024, in Rapid City, South Dakota. He spent his formative years moving between Hawaii and Washington before settling in South Dakota in 1999.

From a young age, Jeremy displayed a natural inclination towards helping others, often assisting his mother with household chores. Vacuuming became his favorite task, a symbol of his meticulous nature and innate desire to lend a hand.

Jeremy possessed a diverse range of interests, including cooking, water sports, and fishing. He found joy in culinary pursuits, avidly watching cooking shows, and requesting cooking utensils as gifts. He spent most weekends grilling and smoking meat. His love for the water led him to engage in activities such as boogie boarding, spearfishing, and surfing. As an adult, he developed a deep appreciation for walleye fishing, with Cattail Bay and Angostura holding special places in his heart.

Professionally, Jeremy was a skilled tradesman who founded his own drywall company, Well Hung Drywall, before transitioning to roles that offered stability and benefits to support his growing family. His journey led him through various positions, from Great Western Tire to Excel Truck & Trailer, Olson Towing, and ultimately Harms Oil and Solid Construction, where he showcased his expertise as a welder and mechanic. Known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand, Jeremy was a reliable ally to those in need.

Jeremy is survived by his fiancée, Jamie Larson; sons, Jace and Jarek Simpson; parents, Lori and Larry Baldwin; dad, Grant Simpson; brothers, Bryan Simpson and Keola Cabudol; sister, Kanani Cabudol; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Jaime Cabudol, and Grandparents, Melencio & Eusebia Cabudol, Wes & Joy Detlefsen, and Bill & Marie Simpson. Family friends Antonio Updike and Emanuel Hinton.

Jeremy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
