David Lee McBee

David L. McBee, aged 61, of Rapid City, passed away on February 27, 2024. 
David was born to Darwin Lowe McBee and Dona (Core) McBee on August 14, 1962. He was the youngest of six children and was dearly loved by all.
He married Judy Mullivan in 1983 and they had two beautiful daughters, Kayla and Amanda.  They later divorced in 1992.
Dave took great pride in his work and during his life was employed by Landstroms Jewelry, McKie Ford and Knechts.  He was employed by Stone Wood Construction at the time of his death.
From a young age, Dave loved working with his hands, always taking things apart but often not able to put them back together.  As an adult, he became a skilled craftsman and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to others.  He and his neighbor, Jon Nygaard, spent a lot of time working on projects together and we know Dave enjoyed every minute of their time together.  He was a gentle soul with a kind and loving heart and he loved his friends.
Dave is survived by his daughter Kayla (Nathan) Loecker and grandchildren Vera, Henry and Ann of Yankton and his daughter Amanda (Brett) Fergen and grandson Max of Pierre.  Blessed to be his siblings are Bonnie Berk, of Waynesville NC, and Linda Nelsen, Susan (Jerry) Roth and Diane McMullen, all of Rapid City.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dan McBee and his nephew Kyle Nelsen.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
